Guests often appreciate the hotel's convenient location, especially for those planning hill walking, with free parking close to the rooms. Many find the beds comfortable, the rooms a great value for money, and enjoy amenities like the TV and tea/coffee facilities. While some guests have noted the aging features of the hotel, the ground floor access from the carpark is usually seen as very convenient, and the bar area stands out with its welcoming atmosphere and roaring fire, especially appreciated along with the good beer served. Additionally, there's a nice pub serving homemade food within walking distance.

Simple and Cute Getaway

accommodating staff fine view comfortable room
The staff acted like real PEOPLE. They were super accommodating. The location offered fine views. The little bar proved convenient for a nightcap. I found the room clean and quite comfortable after a long day exploring the valley.
The limited supply of tea and coffee meant I had to ration my morning cuppa. No additional supplies were available. I think, considering how great everything was, management should review providing a more generous welcome pack.

The location was very convenient for exploring nearby scenic places. the bed was comfortable.. i slept soundly each night. ample parking was available. I had no trouble finding a space.

Dated Stay Needs Improvement

The car park provided good space for my vehicle.
The shower did not work as expected, and that was frustrating. I expect a functional shower, but the water pressure was weak. This made my morning routine less than ideal.
